Fill a Mind & Heart is a 501(c)3 non-profit. Because our organization is run entirely by volunteers, we are able to ensure that 100% of your contributions go directly to serving children in Ethiopia.
Our goal each year is to entirely fill the Kinder school in Dilla's funding gap, ensuring that 600+ students can enroll and begin their educational journey. Every dollar you donate is used for maximum impact. Key areas of support include:
Annual Tuition

Each family is asked to pay a modest fee for their child’s tuition if they are able, if only to recognize the value of an education. Your donations make up the rest.
Books and School Supplies
​
From paper and pencils to slate and chalk, you provide everything the students need to learn and create.
Daily Meals
​Each student receives a basic school lunch, typically consisting of a fortified roll and a drink. It's simple nutrition that ensures no student goes hungry.​
Teacher Salaries
​
The school has a dedicated staff of 18 teachers and 16 support personnel. Their outstanding work has been recognized by the local Education Office as the best education program in their zone.

School Uniforms
​
Students are provided with a uniform that they wear with pride. This gesture helps everyone look and feel their best, regardless of their family circumstances.
Facilities and Maintenance
​
Donations fund the​ desks and chairs needed for classroom learning, as well the playground space and equipment vital for exercise and play.
